The following is a released from Grande Prairie RCMP on an incident that happened Wednesday night

On Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at an A&W on 100 Street. A lone male entered the restaurant and brandished a knife. He then came behind the counter and demanded that the clerk open the till. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left the restaurant through the back door. He was last seen running toward Superstore. No one was injured during the incident.

The male is described as:
• Wearing a green mask
• Dark pants or jeans
• Black jacket
Police Dog Services attended and searched the surrounding area however the suspect was not located. Police believe he may have had a vehicle waiting for him.
